Aus vs Ban: Australia won by 60 runs, Clarke Man of the Match

In the 1st ODI match played between Australia and Bangladesh at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Bangladesh, Australia defeated Bangladesh by 60 runs.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first. The start of Australia was not so good, as they lost Bradd Haddin in the third over. He scored only 10 runs.

Shane Watson scored 37 runs while Ricky Ponting was run-out after scoring 34 runs.

Australian skipper, Michael Clarke scored century and was out after scoring 101 runs. C White scored 20 runs. M Hussey scored 33 runs. M Johnson went not out on 26 runs.

Australia managed to score 270 runs in 50 overs losing 7 wickets.

From Bangladesh bowling side, Suhrawadi Shuvo took 3 wickets, Mashrafe Mortaza took 2 while Adbur Razzak took 1 wicket.

Chasing the target of 271 runs, the start of Bangladesh was not good, as they lost 2 wickets very early in the match.

Imrul Kayes was out after scoring 4 runs while Shahriar Nafees was out on duck. Tamim Iqbal scored 62 runs and was the top scorer from the team.

Raqibul Hasan scored 7 runs. Skipper, Shakib Al Hasan scored 51 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah went not out, Hasan scored 44 runs while Mahmudullah scored 28 runs.

Bangladesh scored 210 runs in 50 overs losing 5 wickets.

From Australia's bowling side, B Lee, M Johnson, Hastings, Doherty and Smith took 1 wicket each.

Michael Clarke was declared as the Man of the Match.
