SA vs Ire: SA won by 131 runs, JP Duminy Man of the Match

South Africa defeated Ireland by 131 runs in the 34th Match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Ireland won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first start for South Africa was not good as they lost 2 wickets on 54. G Smith was out after scoring 7 runs only while H Amla was out on 18 runs.

MN van Wyk was bowled out after scoring good 42 runs in 41 balls with help of 7 fours and a six.
JP Duminy was unlucky to out as he missed his century by 1 run, he was out on 99 runs.

CA Ingram scored 46 runs and J Botha scored 21 runs. South Africa managed to score 272 runs in 50 overs.

From Ireland's bowling side, WB Rankin, DT Johnston, JF Mooney, GH Dockrell and PR Stirling took 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target of 273 runs, the start of Ireland was not good, as skipper, WTS Porterfield was out on 6 runs only. PR Stirling scored 10 runs only.

EC Joyce scored 12, NJ O'Brien was out on 10 runs only. GC Wilson was the top scorer from the team, as he scored 31 runs.

Ireland was all-out on 141 runs in 33.2 overs. From South Africa's bowling side, RJ Peterson and M Morkel took 3 wickets each.

J Kallis took 2 wickets, while J Botha and Duminy took 1 wicket each.

JP Duminy was declared as the Man of the Match.
